What are nodes Thaumcraft?
Nodes are nearly invisible to the naked eye, appearing only as a pale point of light. Looking through a Thaumometer or equipping Goggles of Revealing significantly increases their visibility. A node transducer can be used to turn a node into an energized node, which is necessary to supply vis to arcane machines.
Where can I find Perdito nodes?
Perdito tends to be found in swamp / dead-like biomes as noted above. Aer in Plains-like biomes. And I tend to find Ordo in Taiga-like biomes.

Sources. The most common source is cobblestone, but note that better yield can be gotten by first converting the cobblestone into stairs. (The stairs are two-thirds the number of the cobblestone blocks, but each has 2 points instead of 1.) It can also be distilled from Cactus blocks or Gunpowder.
How do you get aspects in Thaumcraft?

What is a pale node?
Normal Nodes have no special qualities. Bright Nodes regenerate their aspects at a faster rate than normal. Pale Nodes regenerate their aspects at a slower rate than normal. Fading Nodes do not regenerate their aspects.

Once a Nether Fortress has been explored, it can be produced in massive amounts with a netherwart farm.
