During an outdoor sporting event held on Saturday by the Neighborhood Boxing League of the city of Saint Petersburg, in the state of Florida (USA), which had the motto “stop the violence” (‘stop the violence ‘, in English), ended abruptly after registering a shootout between a sector of the attendees, which resulted in one death and several wounded, local media report.

According to the Police, around 200 fans were enjoying the event when two groups started an argument that escalated until it ended in gunshots, causing the death of a 21-year-old and injuring at least four other people. Following the incident, Robert Cooley was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm and shooting in a public space.
