A MotoGP rider was the protagonist of a brutal accident in Ibiza and is going through a compromising situation.
Accident and positive case of alcohol for a MotoGP figure
Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia suffered in the early hours of Tuesday a car accident in Ibiza and after the test of breathalyzer it gave positivewith a rate that is outside the one allowed in Spain.
The accident occurred around five in the morning during the vacations that the Italian pilot was enjoying in Ibiza. Although it came out uninjured from the accident the Ibiza Newspaper reported that the blood alcohol test carried out by the Civil Guard and the Sant Josep Local Police marked 0.87 grams per liter of alcohol in blood.
This situation could compromise the sporting future of “Pecco” Bagnaia who will also have to face the legal consequences for having exceeded the legal blood alcohol limit.
After the incident, the pilot of Ducati made its discharge in their social networks:
“On leaving the nightclub, around 3 o’clock, at a roundabout I ended up with the two front wheels in a ditch without involving other vehicles or people. The breathalyzer control carried out by the Police determined that I drank more than allowed by Spanish law. I am very sorry for what happened: I am practically teetotal and it was a mistake that I should not have made. I apologize and I assure you that I have learned my lesson. Never get behind the wheel if you have drunk alcohol. Thank you .”
