The Government of Salta developed this morning the “Boxing without Chains” program in Prison Unit 4 of the Villa las Rosas Prison. The sporting event was carried out through the Ministry of Security and Justice and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The sporting activity was aimed at women deprived of liberty interested in learning boxing in order to provide them with inclusive tools that promote discipline, effort and a healthy life. The provincial program aims to strengthen sports social policies in the context of confinement.

During the day the participants received training on the introduction to the sport, in charge of boxing professionals, doctors and specialists in the discipline. They also carried out demonstrations of different techniques.

The training had the collaboration of the professional boxer Ezekiel Second, who was instructed at the Villa las Rosas prison boxing school and developed an exemplary career with important sporting achievements in the province and in the country.

The opening ceremony was chaired by the General Director of the SPPS Leonardo Isamendi and prison authorities. The Boxing coordinator of the Ministry of Sports also participated, Sergio Oliver Calvet, Claudia Vasquez, Gender and Sports coordinator, and special guests.
