On October 21 at the Cielo Country Club, the Adolf Horn Golf Tournament will be held in its 18th edition, which is organized by American Chamber, CADELEC, INDEX de Occidente and CANIETI, in order to generate resources for the Food Bank of Guadalajara.
“We have in mind between 108 and 132 players, and the goal is that we reach the million pesos. We have a car for the hole in one, there are a series of very interesting prizes ”, said Rafael Farga, president of AMCHAM.
It was reported that the Food Bank in 2019 served 10,000 families, with 20,000 groceries per month. Upon the arrival of the Covid 19 Pandemic, the number grew to 30,000 families with 60,000 groceries a month from 21 to 23 kilos each. The Food Bank delivers the pantries to 360 communities living in food deprivation and also to 122 institutions such as asylums and shelters. That is why the challenge of the organized committee is to reach the collection figure of the Million pesos. (By Martín Navarro Vásquez)
