The Mexican Alejandra Ayala is in serious condition in Scotland after being in an induced coma after a fight for the world welterweight title of the World Association of Boxing and the International Boxing Organization.
The Mexican underwent surgery to remove a clot in her brain, after falling in the tenth round by knockout against Hannah Rankig this Sunday.
Despite being immediately treated by doctors at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, the Aztec fighter was transferred to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The boxer’s family is already in Scotland awaiting recovery and medical reports from the British Boxing Commission.
