The 2022 NFL season will have a little change: For the first time since 2013, NFL teams will have true alternative helmets. Instead of having to make minor modifications to match the different uniforms, in this campaign you will have the opportunity to use secondary helmets to present a fresh look.
The rule was approved in 2021 and so far, 12 teams have confirmed their alternate helmets. The saints they were the first to show off their new look, introducing a black helmet that will complete their uniform black out. New Orleans was followed by the Texans and its “Battle Red“.
Among the most recent teams to show off their new look are the giants and the cowboyswho bet a vintage look.
Alternate NFL jerseys are always interesting, particularly since so many of them reference the past and new helmets will allow teams to be even more creative.
