Ande Soria shines in the Spanish Golf Championship and cup one of the podium

The Mataleñas de Santander Golf Club hosted last week the dispute of a new edition of the Spanish Golf Championship, a test included in the competition calendar of the Spanish Federation of Sports for the Intellectually Disabled – FEDDI – and which had the participation thirty-five athletes belonging to eight clubs representing five autonomous communities of our national geography.

The CD Ande , after its absence in the last edition due to having its sports activity suspended by Covid 19, returned this year thanks to the collaboration that the City Council and the Soria Provincial Council provide to this club.

And the return could not be better, as three of his athletes took the podium of winners in their sports skills category being first and Champion of Spain of the same Bartolomé Hernández, escorted as runner-up by Raúl Jiménez, and Ángel Azofra as third classified.

David Lavega and Alberto Molina, the other two representatives from Soria in the category, finished their journey occupying ninth and tenth position respectively.

Excellent performance, therefore, by the Soria athletes from the CD Ande Soria, especially taking into account the difficulties and few hours of training that occurred due to the current situation.
