The regional sports games will be held in Valledupar, Colombia, from June 24 to July 5.
World runner-up Atheyna Bylon will head the Panamanian Olympic boxing delegation that will participate in the Bolivarian Games, which will be held from June 24 to July 5 in the city of Valledupar, department of Cesar, Colombia.
Bylon, who recently won the silver medal in the 75-kilogram category at the World Championships held in Turkey, will represent the national colors in the regional sports games.

Tomás Cianca, president of the Olympic Boxing Federation of Panama (Fedebop), reported that in addition to Bylon they will be seeing action in Valledupar Martín Pérez (52 kilograms), Moisés Rodríguez (57 kilos), Alejandro Díaz (63 kilos), Eduardo Beckford ( 69 kilos) and Edgar Ramos (75 kilos).
With the exception of Bylon, who will have an invitational tournament in Martinique on June 11, all those selected will travel to Santa Marta, Colombia, where they will participate in an international camp.
“They will be in Santa Marta from June 5 to 23, while Atheyna will join the group on June 13,” Cianca explained.

The Fedebop leader added that the group of athletes will move on June 23 from Santa Marta to Valledupar, venue for the regional games.
In the 2022 Bolivarian Games, the sport of Olympic boxing will be played from June 25 to 30 on the Platform of the Parque la Leyenda Vallenata, in Valledupar.
