Panamanian boxer Atheyna Bylon defeated Davina Michel, from France, by unanimous decision and managed to advance to the final of -75 kilograms at the World Elite Women’s Boxing Championship, Istanbul 2022, as announced by the Olympic Committee of Panama ( COP).

According to the official report, Bylon, who was very confident at all times, “beat Davina Michel in the semifinals in a fight that she won by unanimous decision 5-0, where the judges saw the Panamanian win, 30-27, 30-27, 30-26, 30-27 and 30-27”.

The COP explained that “now the Panamanian has the opportunity to compete for the gold medal, against Tammara Thibeault from Canada, in the final that will be next Friday, May 20 at the Basaksehir Sports and Youth Center in Istanbul, Turkey.”

With this victory, the Panamanian accumulates three wins in this World Cup, securing the silver medal to date.
