The former Panamanian world champion lost in the Final of the 75-kilogram category against the Canadian Tammara Thibeault.
Panamanian boxer Atheyna Bylon won the silver medal in the women’s 75-kilogram category of the Continental Olympic Boxing Championship held in Guayaquil, Ecuador, losing by unanimous decision in the Final against Canadian Tammara Thibeault.
In a complicated encounter in which there were many ties, the Canadian Thibeault landed the greatest number of blows that made her worthy of victory.

Bylon qualified for the final of her category, defeating Brazilian Viviane Pereira by unanimous decision, while Thibeault defeated Kimberly Gittens of Barbados by unanimous decision.
Bylon comes from an outstanding participation abroad, winning the silver medal in his category in the demanding and traditional Strandja tournament, in Sofia, Bulgaria, on February 26.
