BOXER Frank Bruno has said that drug dealers once threatened to kill him.
He said traffickers in Colombia asked him to bring cocaine to London.
When Frank, who was 20 years old at the time and in Bogotá for an operation, refused, they told him that “crazy things happen to him here.”
The 60-year-old former world heavyweight champion said: “I knew what he was talking about.
“But I said I was going to be a world champion and if they were planning to finish me off and hoping nobody would notice, I was wrong.
I could see his demeanor change after that and he smiled uneasily.
“Even thinking about it now makes me sweat.
“I was very lucky to get away from him in one piece, and with my head and ‘black and decker’ to the left where mother nature intended.
“I made my excuses and left. However, I was looking over my shoulder for the rest of my stay. I got into some trouble in my time in South London, but this was something else.
