Cuban boxer Guillermo Rigondeaux shared on social networks how he was after suffering an explosion in his face, due to a pressure cooker, four months ago.

Last March, Guillermo Rigondeaux suffered a domestic accident, when he was the victim of an explosion caused by a pressure cooker at his home in Miami, United States. At that time, he only shared a video from behind, without detailing his injuries. “Thank you all for keeping me in your prayers.”

Later, he posted a photo with sunglasses and a mask in a publication on his Instagram, assuring that “Throughout life I have gone through very difficult times, but this month he overcame everything… once again, God has given me a battle but I am confident that, like many times, I will be victorious,” he wrote.

However, he recently published an image that showed all the injuries he suffered on his face and neck, after the accident, accompanied by an emotional message. “Every night when I close my eyes this is what I see, sometimes it’s hard to forget,” revealed the boxer.

In March, Guillermo’s manager, Alex Bornote, assured that the Cuban was cooking black beans at his home in Miami on a Friday night, when a pressure cooker exploded in his face, affecting his vision.

Currently, it is believed that the boxer only has 20 percent of his vision. Something that puts his sports career on hold.

Guillermo Rigondeaux Ortiz was world champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), for which he is considered one of the best pound-for-pound boxers by The Ring magazine. He is currently the super bantamweight Transnational Board of Boxing Rankings champion.
