ANDl South African boxer Simiso Buthelezi is in an induced coma after suffering harsh punishment during his match against Siphesihle Mntungwa with the lightweight title of the World Federation of Africa (WBF) at stake.

In some images that are going around the world Simiso Buthelezi, who was clearly dominating the fight, he was groggy in the tenth round after receiving a heavy blow from Mntungwa.

Completely disoriented the South African boxer began to fight against an invisible rival (as if cast a shadow) at the Greyville Convention Center in Durban.

The referee, noticing Buthelezi’s disoriented state, immediately stopped the fight.

After the fight, Simiso Buthelezi was taken to hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma.

The loss is the first of Simiso Buthelezi’s career as Siphesihle Mntungwa added his seventh win to become WBF lightweight champion in Africa.
