With 10 countries in competition, in the Parque de la Leyenda Vallenata, the boxing competitions will be held at the Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games.

The fights will begin this June 25, at 5:00 in the afternoon, with the modalities of 52, 57, 63 and 91 kilograms, in men, in the ring located on the Colacho Mendoza stage. Access will be free, going down from the La Pilonera Mayor roundabout towards the Parque de la Leyenda facilities.

Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela, are the delegations that will compete with 72 athletes, for 13 medals.

Figures of the stature of José María Lucar Jaimes from Peru, Yuberjen Martínez and Ingrid Valencia from Colombia; Venezuelan Maryelis Andreina Yriza Burguillos; Alexy De La Cruz, for Panama; Aylin Dayana Jamez González from Guatemala, among others, arrive in the capital of the Department of Cesar for a victory ahead of the road to Paris 2024.

For the 19th edition of the Bolivarianos, the rules will be based on the regulations in force by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and what is established by the American Boxing Confederation (AMBC).

There will be eight events. On the men’s side, the fights will be in the weights: fly, feather, light, welter, middle, light heavy, heavy and super heavy, while in the ladies they will be measured in the fly, feather, light, welter and middle divisions.

Colombia is the current champion of the last two editions of the Bolivarian Games, coming first in the medal table in Trujillo 2013 and Santa Marta 2017.
