Daniel Aquino will try to reach his first title as a professional boxer and for that he will appear this night in the Santa Fe town of Desvío Arijón. There he will face Marcelo Sánchez from Buenos Aires for the Latin Silver title of the World Boxing Council (WBC), in the Welterweight category.
It will be a great chance for the “Terrible” in his career after a tireless fight that he has been doing in recent years in boxing. The fight, scheduled for 10 rounds, will take place at the José Arijón Sports Center. The evening will be televised by the TyC Sports signal, from 9:00 p.m.
Aquino, 33 years old, has a record of 19 wins (14 ko), 11 losses and 1 draw. In his last fight, on January 7, he cut a winless streak of almost four years by technically knocking out Nelson Devesa from Tandil in two rounds, in the city of Pérez, Santa Fe.
Sánchez, 28, born and living in Hurlingham, province of Buenos Aires, is seventh in the Argentine welterweight ranking and has a record of 7 wins (1 ko), 2 losses and 3 draws. He defends for the first time the scepter that he won on October 16, in the city of San Lorenzo, by defeating Nahuel Galesi from Mendoza by unanimous decision.
Beyond the central fights, the night will have four complementary clashes. In the lightweight category, Tomás Irusta (2-0-1, 1 KO) will face Ulises Esquivo (1-0, 1 KO), in four rounds.
In the super featherweight category, Alan Boncompagni (1-0) will face Alexis Lutti (0-1), in four rounds.
In the super lightweight division, Ailen Agrobert (1-0) will clash against Gisela Ávalos (2-3-1), in four chapters.
