Boxing from Tamaulipas goes to the Rio de Jainero Grand Prix

Jesus Paredes, a native of the city of Reynosa from Tamaulipas, will participate in the Grand Prix of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which will take place from July 13 to 18.

Jesús Paredes is selected nationally after his good performances in national Federation tournaments in which he has been champion.

The youth boxer is in the -51 kilogram division, better known as the ‘Flyweight’ weight, and is part of the 12 men’s and women’s teams that will represent Mexico.

In this tournament there will be participants from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, among others.

Paredes, has been for several weeks in the Mexican Olympic Committee, as part of his preparation for this tournament.

For this Grand Prix, some things will change in terms of the competition system, since it will not be a direct elimination, but a round robin type, so that the boxers can have more fights for their preparation.
