Nico Ali Walsh (6-0, 5 KOs), put together one of the best performances of his career to date by knocking out Reyes Sanchez. Although his opponent was chosen for the grandson of ‘The Greatest’ to improve his record and continue his rise, the 22-year-old young boxer showed good fundamentals.

Walsh stopped Sanchez with a left hook in the second round (combat scheduled to four), which was preceded by another similar blow. Sánchez did not know how to defend himself against attacks alongside Ali, who has six fights since his debut a year ago. In fact, it was the second fight that both contenders starred in, in the middleweight, since they had met last decemberwith Ali Walsh also triumphing, although majority decision.

Interestingly the match took place in the same place -the Pechanga Arena in San Diego- where Ken Norton broke Muhammad Ali’s jaw in the first of his fights, in a mythical combat back in 1973.
