The Millville, New Jersey native recently fell on hard times outside the ring after suffering a devastating loss in 2021 when he fell to Erislandry Lara in the first round.
The fight was LaManna’s opportunity to make himself known in the boxing world. In addition, it was the culmination of years of training and work.
After the loss he went through a state of depression. But he recovered and hopes that on Saturday the victory will push him to what he wants to be: World Champion.
LaManna is also in charge of Rising Star Promotions. As the owner, he also knows what it takes to create an event. In a recent article, he explained how he once had to set up the ring and then pick up his opponent for the fight.
LaManna fights Saúl Román, a tough Mexican boxer with a record of 46 wins and 15 losses.
The fight will take place at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
