Organized by the Club Honor and Patria, under the coordination of Luis Sorroche and for the first time under the control of the Southern Boxing Association, with the judges and referees of San Rafael and supported by the Sports Directorate of the Municipality of San Rafael , an amateur boxing festival was successfully carried out that had 10 fights, five of them for the southern title, who, in addition, the winners of all the fights were awarded with trophies that were delivered by members of the Honorable Deliberative Council of the departmental municipality.

Prior to the start of the boxing festival, Horacio Gimnez’s music band performed, delighting the entire audience with various songs.

The referees were the San Rafael residents, Carlos García and the international Juan Carlos Garro, and Oscar Viscio, Luis Zuiga, Oscar Osorio and Dr. Marcos Barroso, who was also the doctor of the festival, acted as judges, with the contribution of Oscar Hevia, member of the Federation Mendocina de Box, all under the supervision of Fabin Di Marco, president of the Southern Boxing Association.

To highlight the contribution of the companies who supported this event, since without their contribution it could not have been carried out.

Fight to 3 rounds of 2×1, where the local, Agustina Campodonico trained by Luis Oliva the Huracn Club, became champion by beating Macarena Fernndez in a hard fight by points, attended from the corner by Professor Andrada from the Pablo Chacn gym in LasHeras, Mendoza.

Lautaro Altamirano from the gym of Professor Daniel Gramajo of San Rafael, became champion by defeating Pedro Flores Ortega on points, assisted in the corner by Gustavo “Gambetita” Latorre of San Carlos.

60Kg category. Cadet (3 rounds x 2×1)

The pupil of Professor Andrada from the gymnasium of Pablo Chacn de Las Heras, Mendoza, Tomás Crisafuli, became champion by beating Brian Clemente by unanimous points, assisted in the corner by Gustavo Latorre from San Carlos.

50Kg category. Cadet (2×1 rounds)

The pupil of Professor “Lito” Negri, William “Panterita” Rojas from the Isla del Río Diamante, who was unable to attend due to illness, was attended in the corner by the Mendoza boxing champions, Joel “Forastero” Arena. and Marcelo “Tagua” Puebla, won in an intense fight from start to finish the malarguino, Martn Lucero, attended by Professor Alejandro Domnguez, who came to the fight as southern champion and the title as new holder of that category changed hands and was for the “Pantherita” Rojas, a title that was highly celebrated by all his followers.

In an intense fight, Rodrigo Surez, pupil of coach José Lorca of General Alvear, became the southern champion by points in a divided decision against Luciano Ramírez of professor Luis Oliva of Club Huracán de San Rafael.
