Carlos Sainz and Carlos Sainz Jr had fun at ‘El Hormiguero 3.0’, where they presented the documentary series ‘Sainz: live to compete’. In the interview, they have talked about their careers. And Pablo Motos has asked them about the bitter side of their respective motor sports: accidents.
The rally driver recalled his worst accident, the one he lived in Australia in 1991. “I still have after-effects from the blow,” he said.
The presenter wanted to go even further: “Is it worse to have an accident or for your son to have it and be watching it on TV?” And Carlos Sainz Sr. has recognized that “one of the most difficult moments” of his life was the uncertainty after his son’s accident in Russia. “It was 20 minutes that I do not wish anyone,” he commented, because they covered the car and he did not know how it was.
The Formula 1 driver also remembered that moment, that he lived “with anguish” despite the fact that everything was little more than a scare.
