‘Some of the boxers have tested positive for Covid-19,’ confirmed Commissioner Juan David Guizado

Everything was ready for the big event, however the Covid-19 changed all the plans, as four boxers tested positive for the virus, for the booklet that has the Panamanian Jaime Arboleda as the protagonist at the Vasco Núñez de Balboa Convention Center from seven at night.

‘Some of the boxers have tested positive for Covid-19,’ Commissioner Juan David Guizado confirmed.

They are: Gabriela Fundora, Abdiel Matute, Jordan Castillo and Jonathan Torres, who are ruled out.

What does continue is the main one by Jaime Arboleda and Nicolás Polanco for the WBC Lightweight title at 10 rounds.

Now the card will be four fights, although they hope to add a heavyweight fight and a total of 26 rounds of action.

‘This is a great fight for Jaime. It’s a tough challenge for him, but these are the fights he needs to win in order to move up the division rankings.’ said Sampson Lewkowicz, his agent.

Arboleda has a record of 17-2 and 14 knockouts, while Polanco has a record of 20-1-1, 11.

Other fights will be: Hugo Roldán vs. Hugo Castillo, Ernesto Marín vs. Carlos Suárez; Albiciades Ballesteros against Ricardo Rodríguez.

Now the card will be four fights, although they hope to add a heavyweight fight and a total of 26 rounds of action.
