CANCÚN, QRoo, December 18, 2021.- By way of a unanimous decision after 10 rounds, Daniel Tremendo Soto, from Playense, was crowned Latin Champion of the World Boxing Council, super lightweight category, by beating the Puebla-born Jorge Salvaje Rojas during the boxing evening held in Playa del Carmen.

Daniel Tremendo Soto practically dominated the 10 rounds against Jorge Salvaje Rojas who looked brave only at the beginning of the contest, in which in the eighth round he was sent to the canvas, but managed to recover and avoid the knockout before the protection account of the referee Florentino Lopez.

At the end of the 10 rounds agreed, the judges handed out cards of 97-92, 98-91 and 97-92 all in favor of Tremendo Soto, whose title of Latin Champion of the World Boxing Council was delivered by Eliseo González, president of the Commission of Box and Lucha Libre of the municipality of Benito Juárez which served as representative of the World Boxing Council.
