In the tournament, organized by the Ecuadorian Boxing Federation, 106 fighters from six countries participated.

The teams of Ecuador A, with 8 titles, Ecuador B, which reached 7, and Puerto Rico, with 6, won the highest number of gold medals during the finals of the XI Gold Belt International Boxing Cup that was held in the fighting arena of the La California complex, of the Manabí Sports Federation, in Portoviejo.

The competition had the participation of 106 fighters from six countries: Ecuador, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Chile and Puerto Rico, between men and women, who disputed 30 titles in the junior and youth categories.

76 fights were held in four days and the technical level of the event was considered good by the president of the Ecuadorian Boxing Federation (FEB), Álex González, who also highlighted the discipline of the coaches, delegates, athletes and assistants.

For his part, Sixto Lomas, FEB technical delegate, referred to the performance of the judges, “their work was successful and the failures were a positive factor for the development of the tournament. I highlight the management of President Álex González, who, despite not having the support of the Ministry of Sports, made this tournament possible, which serves for the “blank” of our athletes with fighters from other countries ”.
