On the sixteenth day of the national strike, the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) presented the programming for the Ecuador Cup games that must complete the round of 32 and others that will start the third phase of the tournament.
The new programming consists of nine commitments, five pending from the second phase and the first four games of the round of 16, which must be played between June 30 and July 4, if conditions in the country allow it.
Aampetra and Universidad Católica would be in charge of opening the round of 32 date, suspended twice due to social mobilizations in the country. The duel is scheduled for Thursday 30 (7:00 p.m.) at the General Rumiñahui stadium, in Sangolquí.
The programming continues on Friday in Ibarra, with the game between Imbabura and Guayaquil City, at 7:00 p.m. at the Olympic stadium.
For Saturday there are two commitments. At 12:00, at the Ciudad de Pelileo stadium, Chacaritas faces Cumbayá FC, while the main game of the day will be the one between El Nacional and Barcelona SC, starting at 18:00 at the Atahualpa stadium, in Quito.
In Riobamba, a part of the table of the second phase closes with the game between Olmedo and Mushuc Runa, at 18:00 at the Fernando Guerrero stadium. From this phase of the tournament, the duel between Unión Manabita and Emelec will be held in Shushufindi, before the Blues participate in the Copa Libertadores.
The schedule for the round of 16 opens on Saturday, July 2 in Manta, with the game at 3:00 p.m. between Delfín and Gualaceo.
On Sunday, July 3, Vargas Torres receives at 12:00 the winner of Aampetra vs. Catholic University, at the Folke Anderson Stadium in Esmeraldas. At 3:00 p.m., La Unión faces Independiente del Valle in Pujilí.
The programming of these two phases closes in Milagro on Monday, July 4 at 7:00 p.m. with the duel October 9 vs. Ourense.
The FEF clarified that the scheduled calendar is “subject to the development of the national unemployment situation.” (D)
