Evander Holyfield He was one of the great boxers who came to revolutionize stellar fights with his great punch and his knockout impact every time he stepped into the ring before his opponents.

His career rose to fame when the American won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 1984, after losing a controversial disqualification in the semifinals, against New Zealand boxer Kevin Barry.

Although the North American career was recognized more in the heavyweights, its beginnings were in other categories that also dominated the perfection.

In 1988 he became the first undisputed cruiserweight champion (recognized at the same time by the World Council, the World Boxing Association and the International Boxing Federation), after defeating Carlos De León.

In 1999, however, he lost to Lennox Lewis in the unification of the three titles, but recovered one of them in 2000, against John Ruiz, whom he won in a controversial but unanimous decision of the judges in twelve rounds.

After losing the title again to Ruiz, he fought to regain some of the titles against Chris Byrd, Sultan Ibragimov and Nikolay Valuev, but without success. He received a lot of criticism for continuing to box at his age, but he claimed the World Boxing Federation title in 2010 against Francois Botha.

Douglas had a pretty bad match, he didn’t fight like Tyson and in the third round he was knocked out (the judges’ scorecards at the time were 20-18 for Holyfield). Holyfield was the new heavyweight champion of the world.

In the first of three bouts he fought against young Riddick Bowe (a silver medalist at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in the super heavyweight category), he suffered the first loss of his career after a twelve round unanimous decision in Las Vegas. Round number ten was named the round of the year by The Ring magazine. Holyfield was brought down in the eleventh. In 1993, he beat Alex Stewart in a unanimous decision rematch and the long-awaited rematch against Bowe for the world title took place on November 6.

Tyson had recovered the world titles of the World Boxing Council and the World Boxing Association, but lost the Council for not wanting to contest it against the number one challenger, Lennox Lewis. However, he wanted to defend the Association against Holyfield and the multi-million dollar event took place on November 9 of that same year, at the MGM in Las Vegas and was called ‘Finally’. Tyson lost by technical knockout in eleven rounds
