Checo’s presence at Red Bull was highlighted by Christian Horner, who spoke after announcing the renovation in the squire and assured that the Mexican driver should be considered to fight for the titles.

The squire boss highlighted Prez’s achievements in 2022 such as pole position in Saudi Arabia and the triumph in Monaco.

“This year he has taken a step forward and the difference with the world champion, Max Verstappen, has closed significantly, evidence of this is his great pole position in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the year and his wonderful victory in Monaco just at the weekend.

Such is the confidence that Horner has in Checo that he singled him out as the Verstappen’s best teammate and that together they will give Red Bull great results.

“For us, based on his race pace, his experience and his prowess on the track, it was an obvious decision and we are very happy that Checo will continue to race for the team until 2024. In partnership with Max, I think we have a couple of pilots that can give us the biggest prizes in Formula 1″.
