If anyone knows what it’s like to fight with Lewis Hamilton being in the same team, it’s Nico Rosberg, who spoke behind the Canadian Grand Prix and praised the work done by George Russell.
“George is doing an excellent job. He’s driving a tough car well. He’s consistent, Drive hard and get the most out of it. It’s brilliant,” the former world champion said on Sky Sports F1.
But Nico warned Russell, because Hamilton does not like to go after his own teammate: “Lewis is in top form. He’s having an incredibly unlucky season right now, with things turning against him. This has been a normal weekend and it immediately delivers brilliantly.”
“It’s a very strong driver pairing, incredible, but, make no mistake, Lewis passionately hates coming second to a teammate, so he will be ultra-motivated and pushing a lot internally,” added Rosberg.
“The car is fine. I loved how George passed car after car at the hairpin. Progress is being made, but Ferrari and Red Bull remain out of reach. In any case, they are not going to win at Silverstone, they are too far away.
