MEXICO CITY, July 7 (EL UNIVERSAL).- The British Grand Prix was a race full of emotions, especially for the Mexican public and fans of Sergio “Checo” Pérez, as the Red Bull driver had an extraordinary participation by climbing 15 positions and finishing on the podium as second place.

But a few days after the race, Formula 1 published its Power Rankings in which he surprised with the position occupied by Sergio Pérez, since he is in sixth place just like Max Verstappen.

The Mexican driver had a hectic race against Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who could not pass the RB18 from Guadalajara, despite that it was the British who leads this list with 9.2 points, while Carlos Sainz, winner of the Silverstone circuit, is in second with an average of 9.0.

“Checo” Pérez reached 21 podiums in his career as a Formula 1 driver and is currently in second place in the Drivers’ Championship for the season. The next one he will have will be at the Austrian Grand Prix, home of Red Bull.
