Formula 1 will play the Italian Grand Prix next weekend, where Nyck De Vries will get behind the wheel of German Sebastian Vettel’s Aston Martin in the first training session.
De Vries, the first Formula E world champion and Mercedes reserve driver, will be at the wheel of the AMR22 in FP1 at Monza, replacing Sebastian Vettel. The Dutchman has the experience of having driven Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes W13 in free practice for the French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard, as well as touring Alexander Albon’s Williams FW44 in Spain, but never entered any F1 races.
