Colima, Col. – The Mexican Senior Golf Association launched its call to organize from January 27 to 29 the First National Interclubes Seniors Championship at Isla Navidad Country Club in Manzanillo, Colima.

Players from clubs affiliated to the Mexican Golf Federation who are up-to-date in the payment of their fees as specified in the call are summoned.

Teams of three amateur players over 55 years old who accredit an FMG / USGA handicap index (GHIN) from December 1 and who have turned 55 on January 28, 2022, will be able to participate.

The categories in which they will be played are: First up to 5.9 HCP index; Second 6.0 to 11.9 HPC index; Third 12.0 to 18.0 HPC index; Super Seniors; (65 and up) Up to 20.0 HPC index.

In all cases there will only be 8 teams with a limit of 96 players and a club may only register one team per category.

The registration cost per team will be 22 thousand pesos and the closing of registrations will be on January 15 or earlier if the limit of 96 players is met.

All competitors must present a negative Covid test with a maximum of three days before the Championship, reported the organizing committee of the event, led by Dr. José Luis Simbeck, president of the Mexican Association of Golf Seniors.
