Sorare closes its biggest funding round in its history. The game fantasy technology-based soccer blockchain has raised 680 million dollars in an operation led by SoftBank. Other investors have also participated in the round, such as footballers César Azpilicueta, Gerard Piqué or Rio Ferdinand.

After the operation, the French company, which is based in Paris, has a valuation of 4.3 billion dollars. The company, founded in 2018, has been supported by organizations such as Atomico, Bessemer Ventures, D1 Capital, Eurazeo, IVP and LionTree, as well as other soccer players such as André Schurrle or Antoine Griezmann.

Only in 2021, Sorare has reached a sales volume of NFT cards worth 150 million dollars. The company has more than 600,000 registered users on the platform and has licenses to more than 180 organizations, such as Real Madrid, Liverpool or Juventus in Turin.

With the capital injection received, the French company will accelerate its growth in the football and soccer segment. will try to replicate the model in other sports and expand your team of workers.
