“It was a tournament where boys who are in the Adolescent Criminal Responsibility scheme participated. They have all the possibilities to create new opportunities, because, if we talk about human development, many of them had barriers that have prevented them from being able to achieve legal and sustainable life projects”, said Lina Arbeláez, general director of the ICBF.
The Inter CAE-SRPA has been implemented since 2021 with the technical and financial support of the Ministry of Sports, benefiting more than 500 adolescents and young people deprived of their liberty, who receive technical sports training in the disciplines of soccer, boxing and volleyball with a specialized instructor.
This year’s Inter CAE tournament was held in 14 regions: Atlántico, Bogotá, Bolívar, Cauca, Córdoba, Chocó, Huila, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Quindío, Risaralda, Santander and Valle del Cauca, with the participation of more of 60 adolescents and young people from the SRPA.
