Before the last appointment of the season in Abu Dhabi, a video was published where the pilots encouraged the public to get vaccinated, and although Formula 1 has managed to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the competition wants to boost vaccination at a time when concern about the Omicron variant is growing.

It is the first time that a sports competition has come together to promote an initiative against Covid-19 and that he hopes it will help governments deter the most skeptical of vaccines.

“We are finding our way back to the things we like, but Covid-19 has not disappeared,” says Lewis Hamilton in the video. “Please do your bit,” adds Max Verstappen. For his part, Sebastian Vettel encourages viewers to “get vaccinated, I think it’s the most sensible thing to do” and Fernando Alonso points out that “we have to be together in this and we have to all be in the same boat”.
