Three boxers from Sinaloa and a trainer are part of the Mexican Boxing Team that competes in the First International Boxing Tournament “Grand Prix-Brazil”.

The competition takes place from July 13 to 18 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where Mexico attends with 13 boxers, seven in the men’s category and six in the women’s category.

Mazatlan Marco Alonso Verde will attend Sinaloa in the Light Heavyweight division (80 kg), Juan José Baltazar in Heavyweight (92 kg) and Ahomen Guadalupe Ruiz in Light Medium (71 kg).

Mazatlan Radamés Hernández is also present as a coach.

The competition held in Brazil is under the round robin format and not single elimination.

Verde has his first fight this Friday against Argentine José Mafuad and Baltazar against also Argentine Benjamín Escudero.
