(CRHoy.com) Next week a hearing to extend precautionary measures will be held against the renowned boxing coach Marco Delgado. This was confirmed by the Gender Unit of the Hatillo Prosecutor’s Office.

Delgado, noted for training the athlete Yokasta Valle, was arrested at the end of September and as a precautionary measure he was given 2 months of preventive detention.

After the culmination of that period, the San Sebastián Criminal Court will hold a hearing to determine if the measures are extended.

Delgado is investigated for alleged crimes of sexual abuse to the detriment of 2 minors.

“Apparently, the events with which he is linked would have occurred at various times, between 2019 and 2020; These are presumed to have taken place at two training sites, both located in Alajuelita. It is believed that at the time of the events the two offended were between 12 and 13 years old, ”the Prosecutor’s Office previously stated.

For his part, the coach’s legal representative, Viviam Quesada said that they expect a change in precautionary measures other than prison.

“We expect a change of less burdensome measures, Don Marco Antonio is innocent and we have already proven it with abundant evidence, all pertinent and useful. We trust our judges, ”Quesada commented.
