Earlier this year, Honda carried out an action together with its MotoGP riders, Marc Márquez and Pol Espargaró, in which both went out to roll in the new Mandalika circuit with a recently launched sports scooter and with MotoGP graphics.
After launching the basic RS-X model in Malaysia in November last year, this new Repsol version now highlights its unique and elegant personality. Only 5,000 units will be manufactured and will be available only in Malaysia.
It basically remains the same as the version released in November 2021, with sharp edges throughout the model, wide and muscular skirt. Now, the Repsol Edition takes its distinction to a whole new level. Like Honda’s MotoGP bikes, this version sports a striking two-tone paint scheme comprising white and red hues along with orange stripes.
Also, the combination of the color scheme with the all-orange 17-inch wheels gives the impression of one of the Honda RC213V, even though it is one of the most chosen scooters in Malaysia. Another very important piece of information is the full LED technology for its entire optical group, both front and rear, which guarantees excellent levels of vision both during the day and at night.
Mechanically it maintains the same data as the base model. It therefore uses a liquid-cooled 149cc single-cylinder engine, producing 15.8bhp at 9,000rpm and 13.6Nm at 7,000rpm. It is associated with a 6-speed box with a slipper clutch.
The LCD panel shows the most complete information, which includes the speedometer, rev counter, remaining fuel level, gear engaged, clock and odometer. In addition, it has an electronic seat opening system that allows access to the 4.5-liter fuel tank and a storage space.
