Julio Cesar Chavez He is grateful for reaching 60 years of age, which he will turn next week, sure that he is a blessed man and that he takes advantage of the second chance that life gave him.
Incredulous for reaching six decades of life, the idol of Mexico will celebrate his birth on July 12, grateful for what he lives today.
“I can’t believe it, 60 years old,” he said. Chavez in conversation with the media. “Like I say, I think God gave me another chance at life.”
Fame and money led him down the wrong path and he entered the world of addictions, but he was able to get out and has been clean for almost 13 years.
Despite everything they have experienced, people do not forget it and that is what the Great Mexican Champion celebrates.
“The love and affection of the people is incredible,” he said. “I have never lost that, I am a very blessed man and as I have always said, I believe that God gave me another chance at life.”

Chávez appreciates reaching 60 years blessed and helping people
Grateful for this new opportunity to live, Chavez now he helps those who experience problems like the ones he experienced.
“Thank God I have been able to take advantage of helping many people who suffered or who suffer from the same problem that I had,” he said. “And thanks to my recovery all I have received are pure blessings.”
The first three-time Mexican world champion is still linked to boxing as a commentator and with some exhibitions, the next and last one in September.
At almost 60 years old, he boasts, sometimes on his social networks, that he trains every day and stays in shape.
“I train every day, even though I’m going to be 60 years old, I didn’t stop training,” he said. “Beating the sack for 40 minutes, sometimes I start boxing, when I don’t run I go to steam, but every day I have that habit of exercising.”
Boxing, he assures, is the one that has given him everything in life, that is why he is grateful and enjoys everything he does and is related to boxing.
“I am passionate about boxing,” he concluded. “Boxing gave me everything in life, thanks to boxing I am what I am and I will always be grateful to boxing.”
