The Dominican boxer will dispute the vacant super lightweight title of the World Boxing Association with Batyr Akhmedov next Saturday in Hollywood, Florida.

the dominican Alberto “The Wasp” Puello promised to make the best fight of his boxing career next Saturday, when he faces Batyr Akhmedov for the vacant super lightweight (140 pound) crown of the World Boxing Association (WBA).

“I am focused on making a memorable fight and for that I have prepared very well,” said the Dominican boxer.

The opportunity finally came for “La Avispa” Puello, and he does not intend to miss it at all, as he revealed to this editor.

“I feel great. I am focused on what has been an intense preparation, with challenges that I have never faced before, but I am very satisfied with the results that we have obtained before the fight so far”, added the native of San Juan de la Maguana.

Puello has just finished his training camp and confesses that he is highly motivated for next Saturday’s fight in Hollywood, Florida, United States.

“I am going to this fight with two goals, which are to win the world title and join the elite of world boxing,” said the boxer who is part of the boxing portfolio of the Dominican promoter Shuan Boxing.

Puello is aware that the battle he will have against Akhmedov will not be easy. “I know I am going to the biggest fight of my career so far, hands down. The greatest opportunity I’ve ever had. I am ready to take advantage of it against a quality opponent who has given a lot to talk about, that is for sure”, he added.

“La Avispa” Puello remains an undefeated professional boxer, with a record of 20-0, with 10 wins by way of knockout.

Batyr Akhmedov is 9-1, with 8 knockouts.
