Lagoon boxer Jorge “Pastelero” Monreal passed the scale in the capital of Baja California, for which he was authorized by the Mexicali Boxing Commission to contend on Saturday against host Israel “Azulito” Ramírez.
The fight is scheduled for 8 rounds in the Super Bantamweight division, at the Palenque del Fex in Mexicali. Ramírez (16-1-0, 9 KO’s) weighed 121.9 pounds on the scale, while the gomezpalatino 123.
This clash is part of the backing of the World Light Flyweight qualifying contest between Baja Californian Elwin “Pulga” Soto and South African Hekkie Budler.
