MAZATLÁN._ The Second José “Loco” Becerra Boxing Tournament kicked off in the gym located on Avenida Juan Pablo II, with the purpose of promoting young talents.

The blanking for the next competitions was launched with the coordination of the Mazatlán Municipal Sports Institute and the Municipal Boxing Committee.

Gustavo Tirado García, president of the committee, carried out the weigh-in procedure, as well as the reception of the documentation of the participating children and young people, in addition to the review and medical attention, prior to the combats.

Throughout the first day, there will be 21 fights, in the tournament that will be divided into three days from July 23 to 30.

The grand final is scheduled to take place on August 6, with an average of 21 to 25 fights, with the presence of 86 boxers duly accredited before Imdem.

On behalf of the director of the Mazatlan Municipal Sports Institute, Fabiola Verde Rosas, the coordinator of Federated and Adapted Sports, José Ángel Vega Salcido, attended the opening of activities in order to provide support to the Municipal Boxing Committee and to each of the the athletes.
