The Gala will be today in tribute to the super featherweight champion Roger “The Kid” Gutiérrez, organized by the Bolivarian Mayor’s Office in conjunction with the World Boxing Association (WBA), where at least 10 bouts of international stature will be fought, broadcast on television and streaming from the recovered spaces of the Curva de Molina, to the west of the municipality.

The announcement was made by the general director of Social Development of the Bolivarian Mayor’s Office of Maracaibo, Selene Estrach.

“After more than 20 years celebrating a similar activity, it is time to highlight the talent we have in Maracaibo, and retake the city as a bastion for boxing,” said Estrach. The main event will be between prospect Kelvinyer Salazar and Robinson Garcia, an eight-round fight that will have the Fedecaribe WBA lightweight title at stake. For his part, José “Cañón” Aray will face veteran Alfonso Pérez for the Fedebol featherweight belt in a match that will also be eight rounds.

Former world challenger, light fly Débora Rengifo will face Deysi Hernández, while Édixon Pérez will also make an appearance and will face Gervis Narea at super bantamweight.

The Colombian Leider Cotes will collide with the Creole José Guevara in a fight scheduled for 6 rounds in the feather category.
