While some long to have a car of the year, others choose to invest in more classic models, but no less valued. For example, there is the lucky buyer of a 1995 McLaren F1, who spent more than $ 20 million at auction to add it to his collection.

The most expensive McLaren
We know that a new McLaren is not one of the most expensive cars in the industry, but thanks to the ostentatious sum obtained at the auction, the 1995 F1 has become the most expensive car of the firm and even of all vehicles auctioned during 2021.
Although an amount of around $ 15 million was expected, the McLaren F1, designed by Gordon Murray, passed under the hammer of the Gooding & Co company during the 2021 edition of the Pebble Beach (California) Contest of Elegance, breaking a record by raising 20.5 millions of dollars.
His physical condition is in perfect condition and includes all his original accessories such as his titanium toolbox, leather cases and dated Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The best thing is that he only has 390 km on his marker, something incredibly low for a 90s jewel.
It should be remembered that this model was one of the most powerful convertibles of the firm as it was a Formula 1 designed for driving on the road. Being the number 029, of 106 units produced between the years 1992 and 1998, it is the only one made in a special color called Creighton Brown, making it one of the most striking and desired by collectors.
