The Mexican women’s golf team added a total of 594 shots (+29) to finish in 32nd place in the World Amateur Team Championship, which took place at the Albatross

“The courses played very difficult throughout the week. I am very proud after seeing how the girls did not give up and fought in every round,” said América Leal, captain of the Mexican Women’s Golf Team.

In the battle to get the Espirito Santo trophySweden took the cup after a dramatic tiebreaker against the United States. both teams equaled at 559 (-13), so the third card was used as the criterion to define the champion and the 73 of the Swedes surpassed the 74 of the Americans.

On the individual board there was a three-way tie for first place between Sweden’s Meja Ortengren, Germany’s Helen Briem and Rose Zhang from the United States with an aggregate of 279 (-7).
