CANCÚN, Q. ROO.- This weekend the UFC will arrive in San Diego, California, where three Mexican fighters will be on the card, the veteran Gabriel ‘Moggly’ Benítez, the hydro-warm Lupita Godínez and the debut of the undefeated Yasmin Jauregui. The main event will be between former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Ecuadorian Marlon Vera.

In the preliminary fights will be Benítez and Godínez. The first will be measured against the American Charlie Ontiveros, with a record of 11 wins and eight setbacks. ‘Moggly’ comes into this fight with a record of 22 wins and 10 losses. Both are coming off of losing their last two fights via stoppage.

In the main fight of the preliminaries, Godínez strings together two consecutive wins by decision and will face veteran Angela Hill, who has three straight losses, all from the cards. So she will arrive with the urgency to defeat the Mexican.

In addition, the native of Rosarito, Yazmin Jauregui will debut in the UFC against the Brazilian Iasmin Lucindo. The 23-year-old Mexican has eight wins, six of them by knockout and two by decision. Before entering the octagon she won the Global Combat tournament in the strawweight category.
