The time has come for Mexicans in Asia. Young representatives of the Mexican Golf Federation, who got their place for the Toyota 2022, are already in Tsu, Japan and this June 20 began with the activities of the tournament to seek top honors.

From June 22 to 24, the departures will take place in the Hakusan Village Golf Course and Mexico will have six players on the course: two representatives from the women’s team and four from the men’s team.

In the group of women, Pamela Ontiveros is as coach and will be the one in charge of guiding Clarisa Temelo and Alexa Saldaña in their day to day life; Vania Simont did not participate after having tested positive in one last covid test.

For the men, Santiago Quirarte will be the coach to by Manuel Barbachano, Rafael Estrada, Alejandro Fierro and Gerardo Gomez.

“Being able to be in a tournament like this, representing Mexico, will always be a great honor for each of us. We are confident that we can do a good job.” commented Manuel Barbachano before his departure.

The Toyota Junior Golf World Cup will be played over 54 holes over the weekend and has representatives from Spain, South Africa, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Sweden, Italy, Chile and Mexico. The Mexicans classified this tournament in April after winning his ticket at Royal Colwood Golf Club in Victoria, Canada.
