Ecuadorian fighter Michael Morales (13-0), announced that his next fight in the UFC is in doubt, after an injury to Ramiz Brahimaj, rival of the fighter born in Pasaje.

“Looks like my opponent got injured,” tweeted Morales, who is 13-0 undefeated after debuting with a knockout of Trevin Giles in January of this year.

Brahimaj (10-4-0), who had his last fight in February of this year, had a victory over Michael Gillmore, submitting him in the first round.

Given this, Ecuavisa.com contacted the 22-year-old fighter, noting that for now he is waiting to find a last-minute opponent and thus remain on the preliminary card of UFC 277, which is scheduled for July 30 in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Morales belongs to a small but growing group of fighters with Ecuadorian roots who have been gaining ground in the UFC octagon: Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera, Carla Esparza and Morales.
