Molina de Segura closes its first municipal introductory golf course

The initiative carried out by the Department of Sport and Health of the municipality of Molina de Segura and the Montepríncipe Golf School, in collaboration with the Golf Federation of the Region of Murcia and the Spanish Golf Federation (FGRM), consisting of a municipal introductory golf course, during the months of April, May and June, has turned out to be a successful participation of the residents of Molina de Segura, since 115 users enjoyed this edition of the Montepríncipe Municipal Golf Courses.

This is the first time that a municipal introductory golf course is held in Molina de Segura, with room for all ages without previous contact with this sport and at very affordable prices, an effort that has borne fruit and work is already underway to be able to carry out an intermediate course and the second edition of these initiation courses for the coming season.

In addition, a Golf Campus is being prepared for the Molina de Segura festivities that will consist of a tournament for users who took the introductory course, a federated tournament and open days.

On the other hand, the Golf Federation is training municipal technicians, teachers and teachers from Molina de Segura, to teach children’s golf classes with adapted materials, both in the Summer Multisport (sports activity that is very well received in the municipality of Molina de Segura) and in Physical Education classes for the next school year.

The award ceremony was attended by the mayor of Molina de Segura, Eliseo García Cantó, the president of the Golf Federation of the Region of Murcia, Juan Carlos Martínez Vera, Jesús Belmonte, as director of the Montepríncipe Course, and the councilor of Sports and Health, Miguel Ángel Cantero.
