MotoGP: fire in the Motegi pits

Dramatic moments were experienced in Japan, where a new MotoGP date will be held this weekend. Alarms, fire and very dense black smoke in the pit lane of the Motegi racetrack. Coming from the Moto2 Marc VDS box, located between the Aprilia and Suzuki boxes, the sign of the fire supposedly caused by the starter of one of their bikes and that for a moment caused concern in the presentation of the world championship.

Luckily, there was no member of the team left at the scene of the fire in which Arbolino and Lowes are active, so it was the Suzuki mechanics who extracted their motorcycles from inside before the flames reached them and their solidarity also led them to clean them.

According to Marca.com slogan in its web edition, the firefighters quickly extinguished the fire preventing it from spreading to other boxes and everything was left in a scare, for which the team has thanked the collaboration through its social networks: “Fortunately all the team members are safe and well despite the fire in our garage. Thank you very much to everyone who cares and especially those who are on the ground helping to control the situation.”

A situation that should not prevent the Italian and English riders from taking part in practice tomorrow afternoon. Those on Friday morning have been canceled to give more time to the logistics team of the championship, so that all the material can arrive on time.
