Lto legend Muhammad Ali I once admitted that I might not have been able to handle a blow from Mike Tyson if the two had ever fought.

Ali is widely regarded as best heavyweight boxer that ever existed. When it comes to notoriety, Tyson is no slouch at all.

Their careers did not overlap and they never met in the ring. However, in 1989 they met on a talk show in the US, which is where the revelation took place.

The couple was on the Arsenio Hall program along with their fellow boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and the topic of whether Ali could handle a Tyson punch began to be discussed.

“I was the dance master and I wasn’t that powerful,” Ali began.

“He can be unassuming, humble and nice, but this guy is great and I don’t know what would have happened if he hit me,” Ali said.

Tyson then made the point that Ali faced punches from other boxing legends that were probably harder than he could produce.

“You know, I don’t think so,” Tyson replied.

“The champion [Ali] he is very modest because I have seen him in the ring with assassins.
